How to Fix iPhone Stuck on Apple Logo Issue?

Author:Jake | TIME:September 27,2017

My sister told me that her iPhone 5 stuck on Apple logo when she was using the device the day before and she consulted me for solutions. Then I realized that it might be necessary to write an article about this. This could happen quite often among iPhone users, no matter which iPhone you are using: iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7 and so on.

The reason why iPhone stuck on Apple logo can be various; and below are some common cases:

# Your iPhone may get stuck after you update the iOS to upper versions.

# It can be stuck if you jailbreak the device.

# If you install incompatible applications on the iPhone, it may be stuck.

# You may get a stuck iPhone after restoring the device.

You may not know which is the exact cause, but you can still try below methods to fix the iPhone stuck on Apple logo issue.

Solution 1: Force Restart iPhone

Solution 2: Put iPhone into Recovery Mode

Solution 3: Restore iPhone via DFU Mode

Solution 1: Force Restart iPhone

This method is easy; you just need to turn off your iPhone and then turn it on. Restarting iPhone can solve the problem of iPhone stuck on Apple logo in some cases. And since it is easy to operate and doesn’t involve too many techniques or expertise, it is suggested if you suffer from system problems or app crushes. You can follow below step to force a restart on iPhone.

1 Hold down the sleep/wake button until the power-off slider appears on the screen.

2 Swipe the power-off slider from left to right to turn off your iPhone.

3 Hold down the sleep/wake button again and when you see the Apple logo on the screen, release your fingers and your iPhone shall restart.

Solution 2: Put iPhone into Recovery Mode

Putting iPhone into Recovery mode can be a little risky because you may lose some data if you haven’t made a full backup. So it is suggested that you backup your device regularly. But if it had to be this way, you can follow below to put iPhone into recovery mode:

1 Turn off your iPhone and connect your iPhone to computer.

2 Hold the Home button and Power button at the same time and don’t let go until you see Apple logo on the screen. And when you see the Connect to iTunes screen appears, your iPhone is put in the recovery mode.

Note: For iPhone 7/7 Plus user: You need to press Volume Down button + Power Button to enter recovery mode instead of holding Home button and Power button.

3 After your iPhone is in recovery mode, you will see a pop-up window in iTunes to allow you to update or restore your iPhone. You are supposed to try updating first so as to resolve the stuck issue because this won’t erase your data. But if it doesn’t work, you can enter the recovery mode again and try restore.

4 Now
get out of recovery mode and check if your iPhone is still stuck or just comes back to normal.

Solution 3: Restore iPhone via DFU Mode

If either of above solutions fixes the Apple logo stuck screen, you can try with the DFU Mode. You can do this by following below steps:
1 Launch iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone to computer via USB cable.
2 Turn off your iPhone and hold down on the Power button and press the Home button (or volume down on an iPhone 7).

3 Keep pressing the two buttons for about 10 seconds and then let go of the Power button but keep holding the Home button/Volume Down button for about another 5 seconds.

4. If you see a black screen on your iPhone, then it is in DFU Mode.

After that, you can start to restore the data back to your iPhone.
